Kosterina Olive Oil was born out of family tradition rooted in southern Greece. My husband, Kostas, and I grew up in New York in Greek households centered around food and more specifically, the Mediterranean diet. As the children of parents from the Peloponnese region of Greece, olive oil was always poured generously and was known as a necessity for health and beauty. When we began to learn more about the undeniable and incredible health benefits behind extra-virgin olive oil, we wanted to pass along this secret from our family to yours.
We source our olive seeds from my family’s hometown of Koroni, Greece. Our olives are grown in Crete, Greece, in the ideal climate and land terrain for growing and harvesting olives used for olive oil. Made in small batches and harvested early, our olives produce an oil higher in anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, heart and brain protective activity.
