Original Extra Virgin Olive Oil (500ml): Cold pressed in small batches from early harvest Koroneiki olives grown in southern Greece, our EVOO is rich in healthy polyphenols (powerful anti-inflammatory antioxidants). Polyphenol content measuring over 55mg/kg is typical for an average extra virgin olive oil but Kosterina's Original EVOO clocks in at 638mg/kg! The good news is that our early harvest process and these powerful polyphenols also make it taste amazing. It will add incredible depth and flavor to any dish.
Organic Everyday Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Crafted with cooks in mind, the Everyday has a mild, fruity flavor with a smooth finish that will not overpower your food. This oil stands up to heat beautifully and is able to maintain its flavor with a smoke point of over 425° F. Like our ultra-premium Original EVOO, the Everyday is made from 100% Koroneiki early harvest olives. The Everyday has a polyphenol content of over 375 mg/kg as measured at the time of harvest.

I used to get similar EVOOs through The Mediterranean Dish but they hiked up their prices....and...their subscription formatting became a mess. I mostly left because I was dissatisfied with the customer service and the company's direction. That said, now that I've tried them, I am *very* happy with these oils and will continue to buy them from Kosterina.

What a great product. The flavor is so different than anything you would get in the grocery stores. I have had some excellent Greek olive oil, this is the best I have tasted so far.

Someone sadly left a review saying this wasn’t 100% Olive Oil because of the freezer test. Sadly, this person will be missing out on a great product from great olives. Here’s to debunking the freezer test review he gave:
The idea that “real” olive oil should solidify in the freezer isn’t entirely accurate and can lead to incorrect assumptions. Here’s why:
1. Freezing Point Variability: Different types of olive oils, even those that are 100% pure, will freeze differently depending on the specific variety of olive and its fatty acid composition. Koroneiki olives, for instance, might not solidify as fully as others because of their unique makeup.
2. Processing & Quality: Pure, cold-pressed extra virgin olive oils like Kosterina’s should contain a mix of natural waxes and fatty acids that can influence how they react to freezing. The fact that Kosterina olive oil doesn’t freeze solid doesn’t indicate impurities or dilution.
3. Lab Testing for Purity: Kosterina’s reputation and product quality are generally backed by lab testing to ensure authenticity, purity, and quality. Extra virgin olive oil goes through rigorous testing for markers like polyphenol content, acidity levels, and oxidation stability, which Kosterina maintains to ensure their product is authentic.
In short, the “freezer test” isn’t reliable for determining olive oil purity. Kosterina’s commitment to quality is more accurately reflected in lab tests and taste than in freezing characteristics.
The good news…
